FPL GW10: Blank Gameweek ahead? Express edition
A very disappointing gameweek 9 for me with no attacking returns in my lineup.
34 points. Calafiori clean sheet and 6 points as my highest scorer.
The only bonus was the fact that I risked Saka captaincy, and he got one point more than Haaland.
I feel like this from https://joinonetwo.com/ describes the week perfectly. I’m really excited to be partnering with them when they launch to offer an alternative space for the FPL community.
This week I have had some personal things going on so this is going to be shorter than normal but I have some big plans going ahead of what I have planned for this space weekly.
The big headlines
William Saliba came off at halftime last weekend and didn’t feature for Arsenal in the Carabao Cup this midweek.
Chris Richards also missed midweek action for Crystal Palace as they defeated Liverpool.
Crystal Palace reaching the Carabao Cup could possibly lead to a blank gameweek in December for Crystal Palace and Arsenal. They are scheduled to play each other in round 4, but Palace will have a Europa Conference League fixture that midweek. One possibility could be that their weekend fixture gets moved. Keeping that first free hit of the season could be very beneficial.
FootyComps Competition of the Week
This week’s competition of the week by FootyComps.com is one I am very jealous of. Make sure to check it out for their support of my content this season!
GW10 Plans and Team reveal
I feel like I am naturally heading towards a wildcard for GW11 or GW12 and Crystal Palace have a great fixture swing coming up. Mateta felt like a must-have, and Joao Pedro hasn’t cut the mustard recently.
Saka captain against Burnley feels like a reasonable call as Bournemouth will not be easy opponents for Haaland and Man City.
