Gameweek 7: A chip is in play!
Gameweek 6 was another positive week for me despite getting a red arrow. Haaland picked up 16 points with his brace and assist, doubling as my captain to 32 points. The problem is that many triple-captained the big Norwegian. With 58 points total, I have dropped to 289k overall.
Alderete was the only player to outscore Haaland with a goal, a clean sheet, DEFCon and three bonus.
Injury/Suspension Update
Dewsbury-Hall became the first player in the league to pick up five yellow cards and will serve a one-game suspension as a result.
Alisson picked up an injury in the Champions League and had to be replaced by Mamardashvili in goal. Slot has confirmed that he will miss the game against Chelsea.
Hugo Ekitike also picked up a hamstring injury. Slot is hopeful that it was just cramp reaching for a ball when Liverpool were chasing the game.
Gabriel was forced into a second-half substitution after a clash with David Raya and the Olympiacos attacker in the Champions League. Arteta said after the game it was a precaution, but it will be unclear until the press conferences before the weekend.
Tino Livramento suffered a nasty knee injury and is expected to be out for between six and eight weeks.
Stats to get you thinking
Jaidon Anthony (£5.5m) is the second-highest scoring midfielder in FPL behind Antoine Semenyo, while Erling Haaland is the only player who has scored more goals than him.
Bukayo Saka has scored four goals and provided six assists in his last seven matches against West Ham. 10 goal involvements make it the club that Saka has been most successful against.
Nick Woltemade has scored with all three of his shots on target for Newcastle in the Premier League and Champions League.
Marcos Senesi is the only player to hit DEFCON every week this season.
GW7 Clean Sheet Probabilities
Bournemouth (34.39%) vs Fulham (17.87%)
Leeds (23.63%) vs Spurs (26.56%)
Man United (39.93%) vs Sunderland (11.67%)
Arsenal (53.55%) vs West Ham (7.26%)
Chelsea (17.99%) vs Liverpool (22.03%)
Wolves (18.25%) vs Brighton (31.91%)
Newcastle (37.26%) vs Nottingham Forest (14.74%)
Everton (29.91%) vs Crystal Palace (28.3%)
Aston Villa (41.27%) vs Burnley (14.53%)
Brentford (12.56%) vs Man City (31.91%)
It is probably no surprise that Arsenal are the favourites for a clean sheet, but the margin is a bit surprising. This could be a week to double up on their defence, as they have already proved their defensive solidity and have a positive fixture swing from this week.

FootyComps competition of the week
Thank you to our partner footycomps.com, who have some great competitions this week, like a Bruno G signed shirt.
My plans for GW7
My Bench-Boost is in play, and I have made three transfers to make it worthwhile. A big call leaving out Salah, but Liverpool are so hard to predict. Arsenal have a great fixture swing, so tripling up on them makes a lot of sense.
